Not unless something is brought to my attention later on.
After last weekend, I am tired as god-knows-what.
And broke as allah-knows-what.
But still, hopefully I can find SOMETHING good. We shall see.
Have a Happy Easter, a have fun! =]

I won't waste your time.
My phone died.
Left the iPod (other 'camera'-like option).
Sharon Van Etten tipsily sang 'You Didn't Really Do That' to me.
She got lyrics wrong----I really didn't give a crap. It was still awesome.
She was incredibly cute.
So was Lady Lamb The Beekeeper; cute and foxy, too.
(Check her^^ out, please. Rough, husky, bluesy voice + guitar = sure winner).
Check this review on DCist. It's extremely accurate. Wish I could have as much info, pics, and so on.
But trial and error, no? And it's not like anyone's listening….hm? Maybe?
Nah, didn't think so. =]

WELL, fine then. (Cake's first night in DC @ 9:30 Club)
ISN'T THAT A FANTASTIC PICTURE?! I MEAN, YOU CAN SEE JOHN McCREA THERE RIGHT?! WOAH! I WAS SO LUCKY.….Not.
I wish I had more pictures, and more to say. But if you are familiar with Cake, their music, and their live shows, there isn't much new, except for the awesomeness that is always building. They played mostly older albums (which I was QUITE happy about, to say the least), with new song from Showroom of Compassion interspersed. I loved it. It was a really good 1st Cake show. I just wish that #1 they let me take pictures with an ACTUAL CAMERA and 2# had organization of audience by height. Argh. Oh well.
I think that Sharon Van Etten will be better for pictures, so stay tuned. Now, let me go nurse my intense hangover. Ta ta, loves.
(McCrea's Parlor Guitar above…WANT. And the Vibraslap. Damn, does he 'judiciously' play that Vibraslap)
But I can't complain. I am so glad I spent fifty something bucks on them. It was well worth it. The show was really great. Cake was really on it. People were just way too fucking tall. Blegh. Maybe I should start to wear heels to these things. ….Not. (John McCrea's Parlor Guitar above…WANT. And the Vibraslap. Plenty in store for this weekend...
Seriously. I am going all these crazy places. I may have promised a food post for…ahem…yesterday…but I figure waiting until getting you the awesome pics from the CAKE CONCERT I AM GOING TO TOMORROW WHAT WHAT, then seeing Sharon Van Etten at Red Palace (get tickets now if you wanna come hang) on Sunday.
I am actually really excited. April is chalking up to be a really good music month. So will May, I'm sure.
But on to this past weekend: Meso Creso is an art collective with intensely awesome events. I went to one of them this Saturday; a party with a shisha room, a dance basement with a great bar-keep mixing incredible drinks, and a Yoga Room. A. Freaking. Yoga. Room. Perfect for when you feel drunk enough, but not too drunk, and need to stretch out them muscles before hitting the hot and crazy dance floor downstairs.
Then, in the morning, me and my friend decided to have breakfast with the remaining party-ers. No, we did not sleep. Yes, it was 6 o'clock in the morning. We didn't care. We had yummy eggs with pita bread and naan and FRESH HOMEMADE HUMMUS, and spiced cold cucumbers. I swear, one of the nicest times I had the morning after a party. Everyone was laughing and smiling, in conversation and eating really good food made from the heart.
And it was so convenient to get home from there, and I fell onto my bed 30 minutes after I left the house at about 7am. Woke up at three, and if felt like a new day. THAT'S HOW DRUNK I WAS. But, in any case, it was a really nice time. See you Friday!
